Responsibilities:
Ensure that patients are comfortable in the dental chair Prepare patients and the work area for treatments and procedures Sterilize dental instruments Hand instruments to dentists during procedures Dry patients' mouths using suction hoses and other equipment Instruct patients in proper oral hygiene Process x rays and complete lab tasks, under the direction of a dentist Keep records of dental treatments Schedule patient appointments Work with patients on billing and payment Greet and check-in patients as they arrive at the dental office Maintain patient records and update medical history
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working as a dental assistant/receptionist or in a similar role is preferred - Proficiency in using dental office software systems (Dentrix) and electronic dental records systems - Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail - Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment Please note that this job description is not exhaustive, and additional duties may be assigned as needed.
