35 an hour 1 day ago 1 day ago 1 day ago Guest Services Representative - Seasonal/Temporary The Guest Services Representative is a seasonal/temporary position located at the Colorado River State Historic Park and/or the Yuma Territorial Prison State Historic Park in Yuma, Arizona.
This position will be filled for an approximately six-month season lasting from November 2023 - April 2024.
The primary responsibilities of this position include operating the park visitor center and gift shop, cleaning the park buildings/exhibits, and maintaining the park landscaping.
This position reports to the staff supervisor and/or Park Manager.
Compensation and
Benefits:
Hourly pay rate range starts at $14.
35/hour, paid biweekly.
Status is non-exempt - subject to overtime pay.
Work schedule is typically 24-32 hours/week during winter busy season.
Returning seasonal employees may qualify for retirement benefits.
After a 90-day probationary period, employees qualify for paid holidays, vacations, & sick days.

Required
Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED is required; some higher-level education is desired.
Possess a valid driver's license.
Must pass a background check.
Must be willing to work weekends and holidays.
Able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent time management skills.
Familiarity with basic computer operations (point of sale systems, proper data categorization).
Familiarity with power tool operation (blower, sander, string trimmer, hedge trimmer, chain saw, etc.
).
Familiarity with irrigation systems and repairs.
Familiarity with cleaning procedures, chemicals, and personal protective equipment (PPE).
Responsibilities:
Learn and utilize the point of sale system.
Market what the parks have to offer to potential customers.
Collect park admissions and facilitate gift shop sales.
Restock brochures and merchandise and assist with displays.
Maintain a safe and clean workspace for employees and visitors.
Clean restrooms, exhibits, outdoor signage, buildings, picnic tables, park grounds, etc.
Trim trees and bushes, pull weeds, rake and bag landscaping debris, pick up litter.
Complete painting and maintenance projects.
