Prepare billing invoices for services rendered and ensure accurate and timely payments from customers.
Record accounts payable invoices.
Perform proper accounting of income, expenses, assets, liabilities, and accurate and timely account reconciliations.
Specific responsibilities may include, but not be limited to, the following key responsibilities.
Prepare itemized accounts receivable statements, bills, or invoices and record amounts due for items purchased or services rendered.
Record accounts payable invoices and assign them to proper accounts and cost centers.
Assist with month-end and year-end financial statement preparation.
Verify the accuracy of billing data and revise any errors.
Perform special projects and additional assignments by the lead or supervisor, or manager to support the department.
Prepare bank deposits.
Willingness and ability to adapt to new tasks and responsibilities.
General journal entry recording and backup development.
Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies as assigned.
Assist in other areas in Administration as needed.
Participate in cross-training efforts that support personal development and provide departmental coverage.
Complete the daily, weekly, and month-end reporting of harvesting, cost accounting and prepare reports as required or as requested.
Work at a pace to complete the work within the assigned schedule.

Row crop accounting knowledge.
GAAP, Arizona, California, and Federal accounting and business rules knowledge.

Qualifications Must be bilingual in both English and Spanish.
Three to four years of accounting experience in a row crop environment is preferred.
An associate degree in Accounting is preferred.
Knowledge of cost accounting procedures in the agriculture industry.
Experience in AgStar, Famous, or other Agricultural software solutions.
