OVERVIEW Responsible for the supervision of client care in the absence of the Program Coordinator.
Ensures for the quality of care oversight, including:
administration of medication, completion of health assessments, review of participant's medical history to ensure appropriate level of care, and assessment of current status.
Must supervise and monitor the care provided by Certified Nurse Assistants (CNAs) and Program Staff.
Position may from time to time be stressful and require a high demand of performance.
May perform other duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Process and review admission orders from the participant's Physician as needed Provide support in new participant admission and collaborate with family when necessary Follow existing nursing care plan to provide the appropriate level of care to all participants Responsible for completing and maintaining the medication chart which includes name of medication, strength, dose, frequency, route, side effects, and special considerations of each medication ordered on each participant by their Physician Assess, evaluate, and document participant's response to services/treatment in the clinical record and up-to-date charting Provide health education in the provision of care and management of participant's illness, and provide appropriate community referrals to participants and caregivers if necessary Communicate with the Physician, as needed, in regards to participant's condition(s)/status Supervise CNAs, Program Aides, and volunteers, as directed Provide appropriate clinical feedback to the interdisciplinary team if needed May drive agency or personal vehicle on company business May perform other duties as assigned MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Suitable work experience may be considered as transferable skills in order to meet minimum requirements of the position and will be considered by the Executive Director of Human Resources.
Current Arizona Registered Nurse license Valid Arizona Driver License, proof of insurance and Arizona Motor Vehicle Division 39 month Motor Vehicle Report Ability to obtain health care certificates, including:
CPR, First Aid and Food Handlers' Certificate Proven computer skills utilizing Microsoft Office Suite Proven strong communication skills - oral and written are clear, concise, and in an organized fashion using appropriate style, grammar, and tone Proven ability to facilitate an interdisciplinary approach for providing quality service to participants Ability to stoop, climb, bend, and reach REGULATORY Must be at least 18 years of age Valid driver license, proof of insurance, and 39-month motor vehicle report Ability to obtain and maintain Arizona Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card and FBI National Criminal Records History Report (employer paid) Pass pre-employment drug screen (incudes marijuana, regardless of recreational use laws) (employer paid) TB screening (employer paid) DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS Bilingual in English/Spanish, verbal and written Additional years of directly-related experience Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree The above statement reflects the general duties considered necessary to describe the principal functions of the job as identified and shall not be considered a detailed description of all work requirements that may be inherent in the job.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
