Yuma, AZ Yuma, AZ Full-time Full-time $70,090 - $84,105 a year $70,090 - $84,105 a year Director (Procurement & Warehouse) Director - Procurement & Warehouse - supports the district's mission of creating a college-going culture by leveraging relationships within the local and national community to ensure that all students, including those with alternative educational needs have the means, opportunity and preparation to graduate college, career and community ready.
The Director will provide program leadership for procurement and warehouse teams as well as the development of District-wide training in the areas of procurement and other related topics.
Areas of responsibility will include but not be limited to:
developing, organizing and maintaining an effective system of procurement, storage and distribution of supplies, materials and equipment.
Knowledge and implementation of procurement method determination, initiation bid processes, procuring assigned product lines, recommending bid awards, maintaining warehouse inventory levels, and resolving complaints and improving customer service.
This job reports to Associate Superintendent Essential Functions Acts in place of Executive Director/Chief of Department - for the purpose of ensuring continuity of operations.
Directs department operations management for the purpose of management of personnel, resource allocation and ensuring policies and procedures are followed.
Organizes and directs staff for the purpose of delivering on-time, high-quality, high-availability solutions and services.
Reviews the work of staff for the purpose of assuring the work quality and timely completion of assigned duties and responsibilities is in compliance with district, state and federal regulations and standards where applicable.
Monitors operations and manages projects to increase efficiency and effectiveness of services for the purpose of improving operations and streamlining work processes.
Participates in meetings, workshops, webinars and seminars for the purpose of conveying and/or gathering information required to perform functions.
Other Functions Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit.
Facilitate meetings pertaining to Pre-Bid conferences, vendor presentations, Best and Final meetings, etc.
for the purpose of ensuring compliance and effectiveness with vendors.
Develop and oversee the process to maintain a variety of required documents such as bids, RFPs, quotes, advertisements, surveys, vendor lists, etc.
to provide up-to-date references and an audit trail for compliance.
Lead staff to evaluate vendors and bids for the purpose of determining their capability to meet state, district and department requirements.
Provide guidance and assist with vendor negotiations for the purpose of resolving purchasing issues and/or ensuring purchases are within state and district requirements/regulations.
Present information on procurement procedures, services, regulations, etc.
to staff, administration and vendors for the purpose of training and orienting other personnel and/or vendors.
Research various issues related to contracts, commodities, vendors, etc.
to ensure accuracy and compliance with established procedures and processes.
Communicate and collaborate with other administrators, counselors, district personnel and community-based organizations to coordinate activities and programs and exchange information.
Stay current on all governance pertaining to procurement and warehouse.
Job Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications Skills and Abilities SKILLS are required to perform multiple, technical tasks with a need to periodically upgrade skills in order to meet changing job conditions.

developing and administering budgets; operating standard office equipment including utilizing pertinent software applications; planning and managing multiple projects; preparing and maintaining accurate records; and training, developing and supervising staff.

Experience Job related experience within a specialized field is required.
