Qualifications:
Two years of college or three years of directly related work experience.
Shall have knowledge of business English, Spelling, Math, Accounting, modern office equipment, business practices and procedures and software applications.
Shall have the ability to clearly and effectively communicate with community, Board and staff members.
Extensive word processing, data base and spreadsheet experience.
CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES:
Relieves the Special Education Director and Special Education Coordinator of various administrative tasks.
Maintains special education student data base internally.
Maintains special education students in SIRS district-wide.
Responsible for the yearly October 1st census count which determines special education funding.
Works closely with registrars in order to maintain special education information in SIRS.
Compose and gather data for federal grants.
Maintains accurate records on these grants.
Also responsible for amendments, completion reports and end of year reports.
Responsible for monthly Cash Management Reports on all federal grants.
Administrator for IEPpro program.
This includes biweekly uploading of special education records to IEPpro program.
Medicaid coordinator for the district.
Responsible for monthly reporting, class and employee roster, and audits.
Coordinates Extended School Year program.
This includes letters to parents, bussing, classlists, teacher/instructional aide usage, time sheets and supplies.
Coordinates AIMS-A Testing for the District.
Prepares monthly classlists for teachers.
Receives and screens telephone calls, visitors and incoming correspondence, assists visitors or callers by answering questions or providing information regarding office/department policies or procedures.
Determine when referral to supervisor, appropriate staff member of office as appropriate.
May compose, edit, type and proof correspondence, reports and other confidential documents, research and verify information for reports and special projects.
May prepare and sign routine correspondence in own or supervisor's name according to established guidelines.
Schedules appointments without prior clearance.
Makes arrangements for meetings, conferences and trainings.
May attend meetings and record and report on the proceedings.
Maintains accurate office records, including budget information, employee time and absence records, purchase orders, statistical information, etc.
Initiates requisitions, work orders and arranges and prepares travel requests.
May train, direct and coordinate the activities of other employees.
Performs other related duties as required by supervisor.

ESS Director TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Work year, salary and benefits as established by the Board.
EVALUATION:
Performance on this job shall be evaluated by the ESS Director in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on evaluation of classified personnel.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
