SUMMARY OF FUNCTION:
Provides support, assistance and information relating to the admissions and registration processes to students, staff, faculty and the general public.
Provides support to Admissions & Registration Technicians, Graduation Specialist(s) and the Director of Admissions/Registrar.
TYPICAL DUTIES:
Serves Students.
Provides clerical support within the Admissions & Registration department.
Provides customer service and accurate communication regarding admissions, registration and student records to students, staff, faculty and the general public in person, remotely and via telephone, email, fax and other electronic means.
Performs data entry and electronic filing relevant to student records and the admissions and registration processes.
Operates multi-line phone systems, copier, scanner, fax, computers and other office technology.
Contributes to recruitment, orientation, enrollment and retention of students by participating in special events and functions as determined by supervisor.
Support and participate in strategic planning initiatives and performs other duties as assigned.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
