36-Req# 5341 Bring your skills to one of the sunniest places on earth - Yuma, AZ! The Case Management Specialist provides administrative and managerial support to Case Management/Denials Department and Director, and House Supervisors/Nursing Support Secretaries and Director.
Facilitates communication with physicians, management, employees, patients, community, other healthcare and business professionals, government and regulatory agencies, media and press, or outside providers of goods and services.
Assists Administration, Management, Medical Staff, employees, patients and others with information and other tasks as assigned or requested.
Answers and routes phone lines for Case Management including UM line for insurance reviews, entering insurance authorizations YRMC Care, forwarding retros and denials to Denials Coordinator, forwarding clinical requests to Case Management if patient is in-house.
Prepares Case Management staffing grid (schedule) including call offs, preparing staffing board and document to be emailed to all departments.
Attends Daily Bed Meeting (DC planning) with fax to Follow Up Specialists with information.
Schedules and maintains of Director's calendar on daily basis.
Prepares agendas, meeting minutes, and supporting materials for teams, committees, and councils.
Assists facilitator in carrying out follow up actions.
Organizes and maintains all files and records accurately, handles confidential information and/or compiles statistics utilizing analytical data including coordinating tracking of mandatory/safety training and licensure/certification for staff and unit to meet state and regulatory agency standards, coordinating competencies for department personnel, maintaining confidential personnel files.
Maintains all time and attendance activities for department(s) to accomplish accurate and timely completion of payroll.
Coordinates Case Management schedule and Timekeeping system.
Assists Director in maintaining budgetary expenses including purchasing supplies, equipment and capital items for unit(s), processes check requests for reimbursements, continuing education and subscription renewals accurately and timely, prepares and maintains contracts, i.
e.
ECF, transportation, maintains adequate level of supplies in a cost-effective manner.
Other duties as assigned.
