All applications are forwarded to Clerk of Superior Court in Yuma County NATURE OF WORK Performs a variety of skilled and moderately complex clerical accounting and bookkeeping tasks related to financial activities of a department or division; applies experienced knowledge of accounting principles to the maintenance of financial accounts and records; processes payments and collections, tracks expenditures and technical transactions, processes payroll and purchase records, and verifies compliance to standard policies and procedures.
Example of Work (Illustrative Only) Processes moderately complex accounting and bookkeeping transactions in compliance with all applicable rules, regulations and procedures; posts transactions and computer accounting entries; reviews and validates data; may perform specialized functions within a work unit; performs all work within scope of authority and training; performs a variety of accounting and technical duties; performs technical, skilled work associated with receiving, recording and depositing payments to various departments; creates, tracks, monitors and updates financial activities, files, and records; reconciles accounts and prepares reports; reviews, corrects and classifies invoices; checks records and documents for completeness and accuracy; reviews source documents for compliance to rules and regulations; determines proper handling of accounting and technical transactions within designated limits; reports discrepancies; compiles, reviews and processes regularly scheduled and special summary reports, statements and statistical records; assists with travel arrangements and travel advances; prepares, assists and oversees paperwork needed to purchase office supplies, equipment, and other items; sets up new business accounts as required; inventories and maintains inventory records of fixed assets; purchases supplies and equipment; reviews status of line items; proofreads and edits technical accounts and documents; assists with the identification and preparation of budgets; tracks and monitors expenditures and technical transactions; may assist with payroll and timesheet processing; may check and monitor the work of other financial staff with authority to correct their work; adjusts records according to established policies and procedures; responds to requests for information; investigates and clarifies questions; recommends improvements to work procedures; cross trains in other clerical accounting duties; regular and reliable attendance is required; performs related duties as required or assigned.
Experience and Education High school diploma or equivalent AND four (4) years of clerical bookkeeping, accounting, record keeping, and computer experience; OR, any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
This classification requires the applicant to pass criminal background checks; a valid Arizona State Driver's License may be required.
Arizona Committee on Judicial Education and Training (COJET) yearly accreditation is required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
Work is performed in a standard office environment and Court facilities.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Knowledge of:
Applicable State of Arizona statutes, rules, administrative orders, operational policies and procedures, Federal rules and requirements; applicable policies, procedures and regulations covering specific areas of assignment; principles and practices of public budgeting, accounting, bookkeeping, record keeping; accounting standards, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles; legal terminology and court processes and procedures; modern office practices, procedures and equipment; advanced principles of specialized accounting software applications.
Skills in:
Maintaining moderately complex financial records; reviewing documents for accuracy, completeness and compliance with statues, rules and specific technical requirements; entering numerical data into a computer system with speed and accuracy; making mathematical calculations rapidly and accurately; preparing complex accounting reports and summary statements; operating a personal computer utilizing a variety of software; establishing and maintaining cooperative working relationships with court employees, other court and non-court related agencies and representatives, and the public; communicating effectively verbally and in writing.

Southwest Service Administrator (SSA) Mexico PPO Health Plan:
SSA is available to employees who are enrolled in YCEBT Medical PPO Plan.
The SSA Plan pays 100% of hospital, medical, laboratory and prescription drug benefits, to a maximum of $5,000 per person per calendar year ($10,000 for two or more family members).

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
