Salary will be determined based on education and experience at the time of offer.

All applications are forwarded to Superior Court Human Resources in Yuma County NATURE OF WORK Performs a variety of skilled paraprofessional tasks associated with the collection of monies owed to the Superior Court, Clerk of Court, Justice Court and Adult Probation; provides customer service, and assists in the management of collection plans and agreements entered into by defendants, litigants and others with financial obligations to the court.
Example of Work (Illustrative Only) Interviews and investigates defendants, probationers and others; determines and gathers information needed to set up time-payment plans to reimburse for services provided and financial obligations ordered; provides and reviews forms and information provided to determine eligibility; recommends and proposes alternatives to time span, amounts to be paid and related factors involved in establishing a time-payment plan; sets up files and records needed to monitor payments; receives, accepts, receipts and accounts for monies paid to the court; enters receipt of monies paid into recording system; maintains and monitors payment records and history; evaluates compliance to plan parameters; determines if contact is required to bring the obligator into compliance with plan; initiates contact and determines if new parameters are required; responds to inquiries made in person and by phone; investigates and clarifies questions; disburses payments to proper accounts; balances receipts and prepares reports; reviews for accuracy and completeness; makes money transfers to proper accounts; provides financial and related records to appropriate outside agencies in compliance with established guidelines and policies; compiles and maintains financial and statistical records and reports; runs detail history report on accounts; performs a wide variety of related tasks; checks records and documents for completeness and accuracy for processing and/or further action; regular and reliable attendance is required; performs related duties as required or assigned.
Experience and Education High School Diploma or equivalent AND two (2) years of clerical and computer experience that included bookkeeping, accounting, record keeping and/or collections or closely related duties; OR any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
This classification requires the applicant to pass criminal background checks; a valid Arizona State Driver's License may be required; Arizona Committee on Judicial Education and Training (COJET) yearly accreditation is required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
Work is performed in a standard office environment and Court facilities.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Knowledge of:
Applicable State of Arizona statutes, rules, administrative orders, operational policies and procedures, federal rules and requirements; Yuma County policies and procedures; principles and practices of basic accounting, bookkeeping, record keeping; legal terminology and court processes and procedures; work under pressure in a dynamic work environment with changing program demands and priorities; establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with court employees, other court and non-court related agencies and representatives, and the public; paraprofessional collection, accounting and bookkeeping practices; modern office procedures and terminology; practices and procedures associated with collections and skip tracing; Arizona Supreme Court, Administrative Office of the Courts (AOC) operating procedures and specialized software applications.
Skills in:
Working under pressure in a dynamic work environment with changing demands and priorities; establishing and maintaining cooperative working relationships with court employees, other court and non-court related agencies and representatives, and the public; reviewing documents' completeness, accuracy and compliance with statues, rules and specific requirements; operating a personal computer utilizing both standard and specialized AOC software applications; preparing statistical reports and financial statements; entering, adjusting, and retrieving data; and making mathematical calculations rapidly and accurately; developing and maintaining interpersonal skills for working with a diverse group of individuals that include judges, court staff, litigants, attorneys and the general public; maintaining complex financial records.

HDHP-HSA Wellness Incentive for Employee Only option can receives upto $240.
00 annual contribution to a Limited Purpose FSA card.
Southwest Service Administrator (SSA) Mexico PPO Health Plan:
SSA is available to employees who are enrolled in YCEBT Medical PPO Plan.
The SSA Plan pays 100% of hospital, medical, laboratory and prescription drug benefits, to a maximum of $5,000 per person per calendar year ($10,000 for two or more family members).

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
