Develops the monthly Health Services staffing schedule and is available after-hours, on-call, related to Health Services issues, in accordance with scheduling guidelines.
Shares in responsibilities of covering open shifts, in accordance with the scheduling guidelines and state specific regulations.
Participates in the recruitment, performance evaluation and disciplinary action of Health Services department staff.
Keeps resident information confidential, respecting residents rights, privacy and their right to self-determination.
Abides by established policies and procedures of the Community and looks for ways to improve Community function.
Maintains, updates and adheres to the Quality Assurance program.
Maintains and upkeeps resident information in company programs.
Participates in other Health Services related duties, as assigned by the Administrator.
Facilitates the overall coordination of care for residents and provides oversight for the Health Services department staff, in accordance with the Health Services Manual and through participation in the following:
Move In Process Pre-move-in assessments, review of move-in paperwork and initial Service Plan development, in accordance with current policies and procedures.
Assessment and Service Plan Routine review of resident Service Plans to identify needs for additional assessment, health monitoring, or other coordination of care needs.
Service Plan review process, either by attendance or through review for all residents.
Coordinates residents health care in collaboration with outside health care agencies, i.
e.
, pharmacy, physician, home health, hospice, etc.
Staff Training and Education Coordinates and participates in initial, job duty specific orientation and training for all Health Services staff, in accordance with Community policy.
Verifies completion of job duty specific orientation and training through routine review of training documents, per current policies and procedures.
Coordinates continuing training and education, in accordance with state and Community policy, and as identified through routine auditing of Health Services systems.
Delegation (as applicable by state specific regulations and conducted only by an RN, per state board of nursing regulations) Provides RN delegation, in accordance with state regulations and Community policy.
Coordinates delegation needs with the Administrator for new residents.
Available after-hours, or when not in the Community, for issues related to current residents delegation needs; may be required to come into the Community or conduct an offsite assessment at these times.
Infection Control Maintains staff TB testing and Hepatitis B vaccinations, in accordance with state regulations and Community policy.
Maintains compliance with Community policies on Immunizations, Infection Control and Infectious Disease Management.
Quality Assurance Completes routine auditing of all Health Services systems, in accordance with the Health Services Review Schedule and all other associated QA tools.
