The Maintenance Level 2 is an intermediate level position with intermediate level maintenance skills.
This position perform duties under limited supervision of routine difficulty and related work as assigned.
Works under limited supervision to provide support for operational departments, troubleshoot and repair equipment at Datepac facilities.
Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
Must have working knowledge and comply with Datepac, OSHA, FDA, GMP and other compliance requirements for a food packing/processing facility.
Safety - Must be able and willing to gain knowledge/safe practices in the following areas:
- Lock-Out/Tag-Out - Shop Tool Safety - Fall Protections - PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) - Confined Space - Electrical Safety Intermediate-level Mechanic or equivalent verifiable skills.
o Intermediate Mechanic, Electrical, Pneumatic, and/or Fabrication/Welding Skills or an acceptable combination o Troubleshooting and repair skills on automated food processing/packing equipment o Understand and practice preventive and predictive maintenance techniques.
o Able to weld MIG/TIG for Mild or Stainless Steel.
Weld quality to be acceptable for food grade applications o Must be able to read blue prints Industrial Maintenance o Must be able to respond to trouble calls and emergency conditions as requested o Must be able to install and setup equipment (drives, flow sensors etc.
) using vendors manuals and specifications o Must have knowledge of mechanical drive fundamentals, i.
e.
chain drive sprocket and gearbox radios etc.
o Must be able to replace automated equipment mechanical components o Must be able to use standard hand tools such as wrenches, hammers, bearing pullers etc.
o Must be able to use simple power tools such as drills, grinders, cut -off saws, impact wrenches, etc.
Electrical / Electronics o Must have working knowledge and experience with electrical components and wiring logic o Must be able to read electrical diagrams o Must be knowledgeable of NEC (National Electric Code) requirements o Must be able to run and bend electrical o Must have working knowledge of electrical testing equipment, such as multi-meter o Prefer knowledge with low voltage control circuits such as in our automated equipment o Must be knowledgeable in programming and troubleshooting Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) o Prefer a working knowledge of PLC system components and understand the relationships of a PLC system from program to inputs and outputs Job Type:
