All Positions are required to have proof of Hepatitis B vaccination or have taken the vaccine either prior to employment or during the first week of work if hired.

) SUMMARY OF FUNCTION:
Assist Journey Level personnel in maintaining, installing or making repairs to Campus buildings, equipment and fixtures.
These duties may include electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry tasks, grounds keeping or custodial.
TYPICAL DUTIES:
Serves Students.
Performs custodial duties such as:
cleaning dorm rooms and bathrooms; cleaning refrigerators; washing windows; waxing floors; moving furniture; vacuuming carpets; shampooing carpets; replacing light bulbs; restocking toilet paper; cleaning outside of building including walls, sidewalks and stairs.
Performs HVAC duties such as:
replacing dual shaft electric motors; cleaning coils and straightening fins; removing, cleaning, painting and reinstalling grills; removing, repairing and reinstalling ceiling grid and tiles; cleaning above ceiling tiles; washing and lubricating blower motors and blower wheels; verifying proper operation of thermostats; cleaning strainers and blowing down plugged coils and vent trapped air.
Assist in any hot work.
Performs electrician duties such as cleaning sub stations and mechanical rooms, testing and repairing lights and signs, and replacing ballasts and batteries.
Performs carpenter duties such as:
patching holes in wall; painting; recoating roofs; patching roofs; replacing bathroom fixtures; and patching flooring or carpet.
Performs groundskeeping duties such as:
trimming and pruning trees and plants; mowing and edging campus lawns and playing fields; sweeping and painting parking lots; picking up trash and debris from campus grounds; digging holes to uncover utilities and sprinkler lines; moving rock; and assisting in concrete repairs.
Support and participate in strategic planning initiatives and performs other duties as assigned.
