Salary will be determined based on education and experience at the time of offer.
Under general supervision assist in the management of housing rehabilitation projects; assist the Senior Grants Administrator with the preparation of grants and processing grants programs.
This position has department specific responsibility.
Example of Work (Illustrative Only) Facilitate preparing, processing, and submitting grant applications and loan documents for the housing rehabilitation program through the grants software, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards; identifies, researches, and evaluates potential grant opportunities from various funding sources to generate revenue for county programs and services; develops and writes persuasive proposals in collaboration with program staff to align with organizational goals and program objectives; submits final proposals through portals to meet deadline requirements; compiles, reconciles, and submits comprehensive grant reports using grant records and databases to meet compliance requirements; manages and maintains detailed grant documentation and correspondence, including expenditures and reconciliations; processes invoices, uploads and posts payment requests, Run and review account analysis reports to ensure accuracy, and performs project account reconciliation; assists with month-end and year-end closing processes; tracks expenditures for reimbursement and ensure accuracy in financial records; organizes grant files in compliance with grant requirements; serves as a liaison between County grant staff and external stakeholders, communicating relevant grant-related information; participates in public outreach events to advocate for grant programs and assist in preparing promotional materials; upholds strict standards of confidentiality in handling grant-related information; ensures all activities align with County, state, and federal guidelines.
Provides customer service to potential clients for various grant program; assists Senior Grants Administrator in grant project implementation; regular and reliable attendance is required; performs other duties as assigned.
Experience and Education Associate degree in business administration, public administration or grants administration; AND four (4) years of experience in government funded programs or administrative budget development; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience; Must possess and maintain a valid Arizona driver's license; requires successful completion of a background check.

Qualifications:
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Knowledge of:
Yuma County policies and procedures; accounting standards and regulations; residential housing rehabilitation standards; Federal, state and County grant regulations, procedures, and accountability standards; principles of grant fund accounting the 2 CFR 200, contracts and records management; components of a grant application; office computer hardware and software applications; Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and grant management software.
Skill in:
Preparing reports, correspondence and other presentations for internal and external audiences; assessing community needs and resources, and researching solutions; establishing effective working relationships with County staff and regional organizations; organizing and prioritizing multiple tasks and projects; excellent research and analytical skills with attention to detail; technical writing.

Review title reports and identify ownership problems that will need to be resolved; work effectively both independently and in a team environment; work with people of all social and economic levels; communicate effectively verbally and in writing; work in varying extreme weather conditions; follow written and verbal instructions; use modern office equipment and computers; lift up 5 - 10 lbs; perform the essential functions of the job specifications with or without a reasonable accommodation.
Work Environment The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands:
occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; some stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling; and significant fine finger dexterity.
Generally the job requires 60% sitting, 20% walking and 20% standing.
Working at a computer monitor for extended periods required.
The job is performed under minimal temperature variations and in a generally hazard free environment.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
