Yuma Campus No benefits SUMMARY OF FUNCTION:
This position provides clerical/administrative support for a specific department and serves as the point of contact.
This position is the second level in the Administrative Assistant Family.
TYPICAL DUTIES:
Serves Students.
Provides daily clerical/administrative support to faculty, staff, and students in the assigned department/location.
Oversees the front desk/area by answering phones and responding to inquiries in person, emails, and other forms of communication.
Provides coverage for others while out of the office.
Directs students to various locations on campus.
Provides detailed information to students and may assist with admissions, registration, financial aid, testing, and cashiering.
Works with student schedules and requests and follow-ups with students.
Calendar:
schedules all appointments, calendaring for supervisor.
Reminds supervisor of meeting times.
Sets up appointments for other staff in the department.
Cancels and resets appointments.
Purchasing:
Orders supplies for office and staff.
May create requisitions, approve invoices, and may have a P-card with monthly reconciliation duties.
Arranges travel and process expenses.
Takes notes at meetings, department, division, committee, councils, or external meetings.
Sorts mail and distributes mail daily.
Runs report.
Format PowerPoint presentations with content provided by the supervisor.
Events:
request facilities, set up an event, assist with creating marketing materials, Support and participate in strategic planning initiatives and perform other duties as assigned.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
